TECAR Therapy

Deep, gentle, and targeted soft-tissue support using advanced radiofrequency energy.

What Is TECAR Therapy?

TECAR Therapy (Transfer of Energy Capacitive and Resistive) uses radiofrequency energy to gently warm and stimulate deeper layers of soft tissue. In my Midtown Manhattan studio near Penn Station, I use TECAR to support circulation, reduce stiffness, and prepare muscles and fascia for more effective movement and manual work.

TECAR is not aggressive and doesn’t rely on deep pressure. Instead, it provides a targeted warming effect deep under the skin—helping tight or guarded tissue relax so we can move better. I often combine TECAR with shockwave therapy, Class 4 laser, Compex EMS, TRX, or smart-gym resistance work for a more complete session.

What Does a TECAR Session Feel Like?

You’ll feel a deep, comfortable warmth—not surface heat—spreading through the target area. Most people describe it as relaxing and calming. There’s no pressure, no clicking, and no discomfort. It’s a great option for people who prefer gentle treatment or who are sensitive to manual techniques.

If you feel stiff, tight, or guarded, TECAR can help your tissue relax so we can move more effectively during the rest of your session. I’ll help you decide when TECAR fits into your plan.
